This bundle of fun is beautiful Maisie, Butterflies Photographer Abi Ellson met Maisie and her family in July, the day before Maisie's last planned round of Chemotherapy. Marking the end of her two year treatment fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. After the devastating diagnosis, and the length of treatment, the family feel they are even closer working as a little team. Mum says life is very precious and they don't take it for granted. So loving family photo's were very special to them, and to remind them times can be good.
Maisie loves cuddles, company, on a bad day nothing is better than cuddles on the sofa. She adores Disney Princesses, Belle is her favourite. And like all of us loves the little Despicable Me minions! Music, dancing and putting on little shows are her great love.
Maisie has endured 2 years and 3 months of Chemotherapy, 2 rounds of intensive Chem, and 17 months of oral Chemo. 21Lumbar punctures, 3,000 tablets and 8 bone marrow aspirates.
Abbi our photographer told us Maisie completed the Walk for Life in Eastbourne two weeks before her Butterflies shoot. And even though it was a struggle she made it without her buggy and raised lots of money. We would like to thank Maisie's family for sharing her story and Abi Ellson for the precious gift of memories.
